Brochure Printing is a very hard thing to do because of the versatility of these materials. I suggest that before designing your brochures, you must first be aware of the different folds that you can incorporate in your design. The type of fold that you choose will then be the base of your design and layout. Here are some brochure folds that you can use:

Accordian fold

Using two parallel folds that go in opposite directions, this fold creates a zig-zag look that has six panels of equal proportions. Some variations of this fold are the eight and ten page accordion fold and the half accordion fold where one panel is two times the size of the other two.

C – fold

Like in accordion fold, the c-fold has to parallel folds and six panels that you can use. However, the folds are in the same direction. In order to allow the panels to nest inside cleanly and accurately, you must make the folded in end panel to be 0.125 inches narrower than the other panels.

Crossfolds

Also known as right angle folds, this type of fold has two or more folds going in different directions forming a right angle. This fold is also sometimes called quarter fold.

Double parallel fold

This type of fold can be done by folding your paper in half and then folding it again in a manner that is parallel to the first fold. Again, to allow for proper nesting, you must make the inside panels 0.125 inches smaller than the outer panels.
