Make School Brochures that Enroll More Students

Marketing Ideas

Fill your classrooms with new students for the new school year! There are many forms of enrollment marketing you can use to achieve this goal, but it’s your school brochures that people can bring home to find out more about your school at their leisure. That’s why it’s important to make school brochures that encourage more students to enroll!

This post may have arrived late since we’re already in the middle of September, but that just means more time for you to apply these tips for next semester!

Five Tips to Get More Students with Eye-catching School Brochures

What makes your school different?

Does your school offer demo lessons, or programs other schools in your area don’t have? Let people know! School brochures usually have a standard, informative tone; they tell you what the school has to offer, but don’t tell you why you should enroll in that school. If you need more students, step up from this approach and show your reader more.

Include your school’s phone directory

Readers may have questions about your school that can only be answered by specific departments. Instead of giving just one phone number for all questions and concerns, direct calls more efficiently by adding your school’s directory in your marketing brochures. Your central staff will have more time for other tasks, and people can call for needed information faster and more conveniently. And both benefits can increase the chances of new students for your school.

Mention your website, and hybrid/online programs

List your website either with the rest of your contact information, or in a prominent section of your academic brochure with a description of what your website contains. Your school website can contain additional information not covered in your brochures, and updated information that you don’t have to print new brochures for.

If your school also has hybrid or online programs for students, then so much the better! Mention them as one of your unique points, list their details, and feature their benefits. Online programs are more appealing because they are more affordable and can accommodate more students because of their flexibility.

Tell them what to do next!

Remember what we said earlier about stepping up from the standard tone? Once people have finished reading your brochure, direct them to do something or they won’t take action. Tell them to call your school or visit your website. Your school brochure’s job is to attract and inform new students; finish the job by leading them to close the deal and enroll!

Choose quality for content, layout/design, paper stock, and printing

For people to actually look at your brochures and read them, you have to catch and hold their attention from the front to the last page. Do that best by using only quality materials for your brochures, from the photos and descriptions, to the design, and all the way to the print quality. Print your school brochures on thick, premium paper stock and choose offset color printing to ensure the best quality for your prints.
